What is Hydrafacial Treatment?

For the past decade, more and more women have been facing the problem of facial hair. It not only makes one feel bad but also impacts a person’s self-confidence. In Hydrafacial treatment, a water-based technique is used to cleanse, exfoliate, and nourish the skin. All these benefits are offered to your skin through a radiofrequency technique to tighten the skin. The hydrafacial treatment offers a comfortable skincare experience and makes you feel relaxed.

How Does a Hydrafacial Work?

A HydraFacial is a three-step process facilitated by a mechanized wand. During the procedure, the tips of the wand are swapped out for each step of the process.

If you’re considering a HydraFacial treatment, here’s what you can expect:

Step 1: Deep Clean And Peel – The first step of the process uses a tip that essentially works like a vortex to clean out dirt and debris from deep within your pores. Additionally, during this step, the epidermal and dermal layers of the skin are exfoliated with a series of chemical exfoliants such as lactic acid, glycolic acid salicylic acid.

Step 2: Extraction – The second step of the HydraFacial uses a tip that extracts or vacuums any remaining debris from clogged pores.

Step 3: Deep Hydration – The final step of the HydraFacial uses a pen-like attachment to apply a hydrating serum (typically consisting of hyaluronic acid and peptides) to the skin.

What to expect from the HydraFacial

“There are several steps involved in the hydra facial. You start off by cleansing the skin, followed by a light toner in order to prime the skin for the next step, which is the dermabrasion. This rids your skin of all impurities and allows it to be more receptive to the infusion of glycolic and salicylic acid. Once the peels are applied, the extraction phase of the facial takes place. This is followed by the final step, which is a hyaluronic peptide infusion to restore moisture and glow.” Dr. Deepali at Skinbliss Clinic, Hyderabad also tells us that “This can all be topped off with LED lights to help stimulate collagen.” This typically only takes 30 minutes, but extra steps can be added to boost the facial.

Detox

This step increases lymphatic circulation in your skin by moving a metal suction device along your lymphatic system. Better lymphatic circulation not only helps move out toxins but also increases blood flow, providing extra oxygen to invigorate the skin.

Exfoliation

The exfoliating, vacuum-like tip is passed all over the skin to gently remove dead skin cells, while all at the same time delivering a revitalizing serum (customized to your skin type) to hydrate and protect the skin.

Acids

To clean deeply into pores, a glycolic or salicylic solution is pressed all over the skin which helps to decongest pores and brighten the skin. They used a high strength, 15% salicylic treatment on our oily skin, and yes, it stung!

Extraction

A weird water and suction treatment then takes place (using a vortex-extraction nozzle) to gently draw out whiteheads, blackheads, and oil trapped in pores. This is the step that helps you get tiny, tight pores!

Serum-infusion

The final step for many treatments is the application of a nourishing serum that drenches skin with potent, protecting antioxidants, collagen-supporting peptides, and hydrating hyaluronic acid. It will leave your skin feeling insanely soft, plump and it helps smooth out the appearance of fine lines.

Hydrafacial Treatment Aftercare

The results of a HydraFacial are immediate. Following the procedure, most people will notice brighter, more radiant skin, more even skin tone, and there should be no signs of irritation, redness, or peeling.

Moreover, the great thing about the HydraFacial is that there is no downtime. And while there’s nothing specific to do regarding aftercare, it’s best to steer clear of any type of exfoliation or other invasive procedures following a HydraFacial.

How Often Should you Get a Hydrafacial ?

There are no hard-and-fast rules about the frequency of HydraFacial treatments, but as you may suspect, it really depends on the needs of your skin. While some people may require a HydraFacial every two weeks to achieve their desired results, others can stick to doing a HydraFacial once a month just as well. Our Best dermatologist can help you determine the frequency that’s right for you based on your skin type and your ultimate skincare goals in Hyderabad at Skinbliss Clinic.
